About the role
The Fab IT Manager leads IT operations and technology for a 300mm wafer fabrication facility, making Smart Manufacturing a competitive advantage. This role is accountable for partnering with factory leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes through technology, automation, and digital transformation.
What you'll do
- Serve as the trusted IT and Smart Manufacturing partner to the Fab Manager and factory leadership team.
- Lead a cross-functional team of manufacturing IT engineers and domain experts supporting the fab.
- Own the successful delivery and operational excellence of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Equipment Automation (SECS/GEM, EDA, OPC-UA), and tool integration.
- Provide site leadership for Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) orchestration, material movement optimization, and robot integration.
- Own operational health of manufacturing IT systems supporting the fab and drive high availability of production-critical systems.
- Champion adoption of new Smart Manufacturing capabilities across the fab and ensure deployed solutions deliver expected business value.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, manufacturing IT, automation, or smart manufacturing.
- 5+ years leading engineering or manufacturing IT organizations.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting high-volume semiconductor manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of MES, equipment automation, and manufacturing systems.
- Proven track record delivering complex cross-functional technology initiatives.
