About the role
This role supports manufacturing and R&D operations in a semiconductor fab environment as an equipment technician on a Wednesday through Saturday swing shift. You will maintain and repair electro-mechanical systems utilizing high vacuum, sub-micron precision, and specialized chemistry.
What you'll do
- Maintain and repair electro-mechanical equipment in the manufacturing fab, covering high vacuum, sub-micron precision, and advanced imaging systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to support both volume production and R&D process development.
- Collaborate with process engineers, operators, and the Equipment Engineering team to install new process tools and retire legacy equipment.
- Develop written preventative maintenance procedures, repair protocols, and spare parts requirements.
- Work with external suppliers to select and purchase spare parts and coordinate vendor service visits.
- Assist in implementing hardware improvements and fab automation projects.
What you'll need
- Maintenance experience working with manufacturing equipment or other complex systems.
- Familiarity with standard engineering practices and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex equipment problems independently.
- Ability and willingness to use safety equipment, including a respirator and SCBA when required.
Nice to have
- Previous experience maintaining semiconductor equipment or complex manufacturing hardware.
- AS, BA, or BS degree in Electronics, military electronics training, or strong electro-mechanical technical capability.
- Cross-disciplinary background involving mechanics, electronics, materials science, or software engineering.
- Technical familiarity with high vacuum technology, deposition methods, etching technologies, and RF sources.
