About the role
This role involves resolving equipment and process issues as an Equipment Maintenance Technician at a 300mm factory. The primary focus is on monitoring, controlling, and qualifying 300mm Rie Dry Etch semiconductor equipment.
What you'll do
- Monitor, control, and qualify 300mm Rie Dry Etch semiconductor equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities.
- React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment.
- Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions, including defect troubleshooting.
- Recover from process and tool interruptions.
- Identify and address potential areas for improvement to optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost.
What you'll need
- High School Degree (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, vacuum technology, and plasma physics.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to isolate and remedy complex issues on advanced equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with engineers and manufacturing teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including a 12-hour night shift schedule in a cleanroom environment.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience in a semiconductor fab or technical support role.
- Familiarity with Rie semiconductor process modules and equipment (e.g., Axcellis, LAM, Tel).
