About the role
SkyWater Technology is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician specializing in fab polish maintenance on a 12-hour compressed work week schedule.
What you'll do
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating, and repair manuals. - Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance duties, as well as rebuilds and sub-assembly overhauls on production equipment. - Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root-cause problems and execute corrective actions. - Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers and handle small projects or equipment assembly tasks. - Participate in cross-functional teams such as 5S+ and CIP, work with outside vendors, and manage chemical and gas handling. - Maintain critical spares and consumables inventory while completing required quality documentation.
What you'll need
- 2-year technical/associate degree in science, math, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent military training/work experience. - 2-3 years of equipment maintenance experience within the semiconductor industry. - Demonstrated expertise in electro/mechanical/fluidic circuit troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment modification. - Experience applying analytical troubleshooting methods such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D Problem Solving, and 5-Why. - Experience utilizing hand tools, calipers, voltage/current meters, oscilloscopes, and specialized tooling. - Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, working 12-hour shifts, handling chemicals, and wearing complete cleanroom attire.
