About the role
SkyWater Technology is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician specializing in Fab Polish maintenance.
What you'll do
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble polish production equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and repair manuals. - Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance duties on production equipment, rebuild assemblies, and perform equipment modifications. - Use test and diagnostic equipment, including voltage/current meters and oscilloscopes, to identify root cause problems and implement corrective actions. - Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards, critical spares, and consumables inventory. - Handle process chemicals and gases safely within the fab environment. - Participate in cross-functional efforts including 5S+ and CIP, and execute projects to improve tool function and metrics.
What you'll need
- 2-year technical or associate degree in science, math, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or related discipline, or equivalent military training / work experience. - 5-7 years of equipment maintenance experience within the semiconductor industry. - Demonstrated expertise in electro-mechanical-fluidic circuit troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment modification. - Proficiency in analytical troubleshooting methods including Root Cause Analysis, 8D Problem Solving, and 5-why. - Experience using hand tools such as wrenches, calipers, voltage/current meters, and oscilloscopes. - Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, work 12-hour shifts, work around chemicals, and wear complete fab cleanroom attire.
