About the role
This role involves sustaining and running the fab floor with primary responsibility for resolving equipment and process issues within a 300mm factory.
What you'll do
- Monitor, control, and qualify 300 mm diffusion furnace semiconductor equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities and train others on these activities.
- React to error messages from factory systems and equipment.
- Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality, and react to Out of Control conditions, including defect troubleshooting.
- Perform visual inspections (quality checks) and train others on these inspections.
- Recover from process and tool interruptions.
- Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost.
- Complete all required reporting and documentation.
- Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements.
What you'll need
- High School Degree (or equivalent).
- 6-8 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to perform shift work on a 12-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment per the semiconductor industry and onsemi protocol/requirements.
- Ability to wear all required cleanroom & safety protective clothing and equipment throughout a 12-hour day (excluding breaks).
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks).
