About the role
Optimize the performance of tools and equipment for semiconductor wafer production within a cleanroom environment. This role focuses on proactively addressing technical issues to minimize tool downtime and resolve root causes.
What you'll do
- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance to specifications.
- Employ intermediate competencies in electronic troubleshooting, incorporating knowledge of electromechanical concepts.
- Propose and implement projects for reducing cost, improving tool availability, and increasing tool and/or systems efficiency.
- Respond to and address tool downtime promptly, conducting thorough inspections and troubleshooting to identify technical issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to maximize operational effectiveness and complete modifications or installations of new equipment.
- Systematically maintain detailed documentation of work performed through required real-time system entries.
What you'll need
- Ability to wear required PPE and cleanroom garments.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and respond to verbal directions.
- Basic personal computer and keyboarding skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and understanding of statistical process control principals.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret schematics.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated work performance in an environment requiring a high level of attention to detail and follow-up.
- Ability to troubleshoot to component level.
- Basic math skills and a strong understanding of statistics.
Nice to have
- Strong mechanical background.
- Previous experiences and familiarity with a cleanroom or Fab environment.
- 5 or more years of experience as an equipment technician maintaining semiconductor processing equipment or manufacturing experience.
- Previous experience and familiarity with maintenance on gas delivery systems, chemical delivery systems, vacuum pumps, abatement systems, heater chillers, and automated material handling systems.
- Associate degree or combination of education and technical training in lieu of associate degree.
