About the role
This role is for an Equipment Engineer MOCVD to support advanced epitaxy and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
What you'll do
- Install, qualify, and sustain MOCVD equipment for vertical GaN wafer processing.
- Provide technical ownership for equipment performance, reliability, maintenance strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Drive reliability improvement projects utilizing root cause analysis, statistical methods, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Lead vendor engagement and technical alignment to support tool performance, upgrades, and key operational metrics.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, industry standards, and cleanroom best practices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience as an equipment owner, preferably in R&D or compound semiconductor device fabrication environments.
- Expertise in equipment calibration, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in cleanroom environments, including contamination control protocols.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and methodical approach.
Nice to have
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, with emphasis on GaN material properties.
- Hands-on experience with EPI reactors, thin-film equipment, abatement systems, and related metrology tools.
