About the role
As an Equipment Engineer on a Day–Day–Night rotating shift pattern, you will keep high-volume wafer processing equipment running reliably, efficiently, and safely. The role maintains and repairs specialist semiconductor tools in a fab producing over 14,000 wafers each week, focusing on diffusion wafer processing equipment.
What you'll do
- Support, plan, and carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) to keep equipment operating at optimal performance.
- Conduct maintenance tasks, troubleshoot faults, and perform root cause analysis across diffusion wafer processing equipment.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels to ensure critical spare parts are available when needed.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance fab processes, equipment reliability, and technical capability.
- Use data insights to identify opportunities for cost-effective maintenance and equipment performance improvements.
- Build productive relationships with colleagues, production teams, and external specialists to resolve operational issues.
What you'll need
- HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven fault-finding and diagnostics skills on specialist manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to work a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 12-hour shifts covering days and nights.
- Commitment to 5S housekeeping and safety processes.
- Strong communication and teamworking skills.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working within diffusion or deposition semiconductor toolsets.
