About the role
The Equipment Engineer - Fab Facility supports facilities equipment installations, modifications, and construction projects at the Bloomington, MN fab. The role provides sustaining support for systems including electrical distribution, chilled water, steam boilers, compressed dry air, RO & DI water, exhaust, acid waste neutralization, and gas and chemical distribution.
What you'll do
- Support equipment installations, modifications, and construction projects while leading project teams. - Troubleshoot and repair UPS, electrical distribution and switchgear, chilled water, hot water and steam boilers, compressed dry air, environmental control, RO & DI water, exhaust, acid waste neutralization, gas and chemical distribution, and building automation systems. - Develop and implement efficiency improvements for facilities equipment, processes, cost, reliability, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Document and present project plans alongside daily and weekly operational activities. - Monitor, assist with, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across fab facility equipment. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to cleanroom and safety standards.
What you'll need
- BS in Engineering or a related field, or an AAS in Engineering or a related field with 4 or more years of experience in industrial facilities maintenance. - Demonstrated background in industrial facilities maintenance. - Ability to apply problem-solving principles to identify and implement root cause fixes. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds, wearing cleanroom attire, and working with hazardous chemicals and gases. - Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
Nice to have
- MS in Engineering or a related field. - Experience with Building Automation Controls Systems (Johnson Controls or equivalent). - Experience with industrial electrical distribution systems. - Experience with industrial HVAC systems. - Experience with gas or chemical distribution systems. - Large-scale project management experience. - Experience with AutoCAD software.
