About the role
As an Equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments, you will study equipment performance reliability, oversee installation and maintenance, and sustain manufacturing equipment in the DM5 fab.
What you'll do
- Study equipment performance reliability, maintain equipment, and drive cost of ownership to optimize performance. - Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. - Work with equipment vendors to sustain and enhance tool performance, while keeping current on technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues. - Compile and evaluate data to establish limits and variables for equipment specifications and drive continuous improvement. - Provide technical support to equipment repair, process engineering, and operations teams by defining preventative maintenance schedules and operation specifications. - Execute project management plans addressing safety, quality, equipment availability, uptime, and fab efficiency metrics.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering degree. - 2+ years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer.
Nice to have
- Experience as an Equipment Engineer in Ion Implantation. - Equipment experience with Axcelis GSD, Varian E220/E500, or AMAT Viista. - Prior experience with Ion Implantation, high vacuum, and/or ultra high vacuum systems. - Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom protocol, and SPC techniques. - Experience with tool monitoring and interdiction software, equipment maintenance, and technical documentation.
