About the role
This role focuses on serving as the primary equipment engineering interface for Lumilens' optical design, package design, manufacturing teams, and worldwide equipment suppliers.
What you'll do
- Identify, develop, and qualify FAU-PIC equipment suppliers worldwide for Pluggable/NPO/CPO packages.
- Lead co-design and qualification of the machine, including risk analysis and mitigation plans with suppliers.
- Support active alignment processes in mass production, NPI, and R&D labs.
- Engage with package production teams during process development and qualification.
What you'll need
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical Engineering.
- 5+ years of working experience in active alignment machine design, assembly, or testing, with solid knowledge in coupling efficiency, FAU, PIC, UV epoxy, UPH, and equipment qualification procedures.
- Familiarity with the active alignment machine industry, capable of selecting and identifying equipment suppliers.
- Familiarity with Solidworks, understanding circuit schematics and optical simulations.
