About the role
This role leads a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers within the Santa Rosa Metrology Services Team, focusing on metrology services for advanced manufacturing and technology development.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute the engineering roadmap supporting future product technologies, manufacturing capabilities, and metrology advancements.
- Lead development, qualification, and deployment of new manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, automation, and measurement systems.
- Lead engineering participation in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, ensuring successful execution of Design Reviews, DFM, DFA, DFT, Process Validation, Pilot Builds, and Production Readiness Reviews.
- Maintain technical excellence and competency in electrical and mechanical metrology disciplines, driving continuous improvement of measurement methodologies and calibration processes.
- Build a high-performing engineering organization, recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent.
- Manage engineering resources, priorities, budgets, and capital plans, leading cross-functional technical projects.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other applicable engineering discipline.
- Proven skills in leading/managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics.
- Understanding of manufacturing, metrology, and quality processes.
- Direct experience with continuous process improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
