About the role
This role involves providing quality assurance and control support to manufacturing operations at the Tuscaloosa site, focusing on business quality assurance activities and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Support site-level quality systems, processes, and procedures to ensure product quality.
- Engage in intradepartmental and cross-functional relationships to drive quality system requirements.
- Assist manufacturing operations by identifying, analyzing, and resolving product and process problems.
- Review and identify trends in data using Pareto charts, report to management, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support customers by determining root cause and implementing corrective action for returned materials.
- Analyze non-conformities using internal systems and act as onsite supplier quality engineer for supplier problems.
- Assist inspectors with piece part quality issues and drive corrective action to completion.
- Conduct supplier quality system audits and process audits at supplier sites.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years experience and/or training in Quality.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, diagrams, bill of materials, specifications, processes, procedures, revision control requirements, basic geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Proficient computer skills with various software applications.
- Proof of US Person Status due to export control requirements.
