About the role

As an Engineer II-Project Management, you will lead cross-functional teams through the execution of design, development, and manufacturing programs within the High Reliability and RF Group (HRR), Microchip's power systems division. This role focuses on power management solutions for space, aerospace, and mission-critical applications.

What you'll do

• Lead overall project management activities including planning and task completion.
• Develop and maintain timely status reports on programs.
• Track material and labor expenditures and review cost reports.
• Generate and maintain program schedules (IMS).
• Conduct program meetings and design reviews.
• Be the focal point for customers on programs and manage all correspondence.

What you'll need

• BS degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical preferred).
• 3-5 years of program/project management or engineering team lead experience in the aerospace field.
• Strong expertise using MS Project.
• Good working knowledge of Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus, and Time & Material (T&M) contracts.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Nice to have

• MS or certificate in Project Management.
• Experience interfacing with accounting and finance functions.
• Familiarity with high reliability electronics manufacturing processes.
• Experience with design/development programs in power electronics.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
