About the role
This role provides technical support to mass-market customers, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving client issues related to microcontrollers/microprocessors, embedded firmware, and software ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Resolve customer issues through case tickets, live chat, and phone support.
- Guide mass-market customers through embedded hardware, firmware, and software design challenges.
- Apply familiarity with machine learning and AI frameworks to emerging support needs.
- Analyze root causes and document clear, actionable technical findings.
- Create example source code, knowledge-base articles, application notes, chatbot content, reports, and other technical resources.
- Analyze electrical schematics.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2.5-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware, hardware design, or embedded systems development.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded applications.
- Solid understanding of embedded hardware, firmware, and software design principles.
- Proven ability to debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic lab tools.
- Familiarity with AI and machine-learning technologies and their application to technical support or engineering workflows.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Microchip products, development tools, or networking protocols.
- Experience with Ethernet, networking technologies, or connected embedded systems.
