About the role
This role involves working as a C++ software developer within the L1 Quality Assurance (QA) team, enhancing and maintaining a custom framework for validating storage solutions in an automated test environment.
What you'll do
- Help design, develop, and maintain an automation QA framework and suite of test cases and tools.
- Understand product implementation and expected product behaviors by reading specifications and source code.
- Develop automated tests for validating new solutions and feature sets.
- Improve the efficiency and capabilities of the QA automated test framework.
- Work with QA and Development teams to debug and triage test case and product failures.
- Maintain servers and other hardware/software components used for continuous automated testing.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- 2+ years of proven programming experience using C++ and Bash Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and programming best practices.
- Strong analysis and debug skills.
- Experience working in multi-threaded environments.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems.
Nice to have
- Able to apply memory management techniques in low-memory environments.
- Familiarity with server storage technologies and concepts (RAID, SCSI).
- Experience with Java, Python, and/or Perl.
