About the role
As a Layout Engineer for Micron Technology's HBM Team, you will contribute to advanced applications, including artificial intelligence and high-performance computing solutions with High Bandwidth Memory. This role involves coordinating with peer groups across Micron's worldwide locations on multiple projects.
What you'll do
- Design and develop critical analog, mixed-signal, custom digital blocks, and support full chip-level integration.
- Perform layout verification such as LVS/DRC/Antenna, quality checks, and support documentation.
- Deliver block-level layouts on time with acceptable quality.
- Demonstrate leadership in area/time estimation, scheduling, and execution to meet project milestones in multiple project environments.
- Guide peer team-members in their execution of sub block-level layouts and review critical items.
- Effectively communicate with local engineering teams to ensure the success of layout projects.
What you'll need
- 2 to 5 years' experience in analog/custom layout design in advanced CMOS process, across various technology nodes (Planar, FinFET).
- Expertise in Cadence VLE/VXL and Mentor Graphic Calibre DRC/LVS.
- Hands-on experience in creating layout of critical blocks such as Temperature sensor, PLL, ADC, DAC, LDO, Bandgap, Ref Generators, Charge Pump, Current Mirrors, Comparator, Differential Amplifier.
- Good understanding of Analog Layout fundamentals (e.g., Matching, Electromigration, Latch-up, coupling, crosstalk, IR-drop, active and passive parasitic devices).
- Understanding layout effects on the circuit such as speed, capacitance, power, and area.
- Ability to understand design constraints and implement high-quality layouts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in physical verification of custom layout.
- BE or MTech in Electronic/VLSI Engineering.
