About the role
This role is responsible for the operation and success of the emergency response program, protecting Wolfspeed's people, property, and processes at an assigned location. The position works with production, Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities, and external emergency response agencies to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergency incidents.
What you'll do
- Respond to fire, medical, and hazardous materials emergencies at an assigned Wolfspeed location.
- Perform life safety and fire protection systems checks to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain awareness and communicate information and activities that may result in an emergency response.
- Perform PPE and equipment cleaning, maintenance, inspection, and repair to ensure operational readiness.
- Collect and report information related to non-emergency and emergency activities.
What you'll need
- Experience responding to medical, hazardous material, and/or fire emergencies.
- Certification as a hazardous materials technician, emergency medical technician, and/or firefighter.
- Ability to accomplish work goals independently and with colleagues in peer work groups.
