About the role
As an Embedded Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will design, develop, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
What you'll do
- Leverage software engineering expertise to design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software and applications. - Analyze user needs, software requirements, and constraints to design and customize software for optimal operational efficiency. - Design and implement software modules for large-scale products and systems. - Lead and participate in design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and integration efforts. - Perform complex code reviews, regression testing, and triage and fix issues to ensure code quality. - Collaborate across disciplines with hardware, systems, and test engineers to ensure solutions integrate with system components.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - 1+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. - 1+ years of experience in C and Python. - 1+ years of experience in Embedded software development. - 1+ years of work experience with Git, Perforce, or other Source Code Management systems. - Experience with Lauterbach Trace32/JTAG debugging. - Experience with ARM architecture. - Experience with embedded software or device driver development for smartphone, Internet of Things (IoT), or other mobile devices. - Experience with power management software. - Experience with Qualcomm products, including MSMs or MDMs.
