About the role
This co-op position involves working in the research and development team, contributing to automated solutions for optical transport products.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the ongoing development of automated solutions. - Solve complex technical problems. - Work in close collaboration with the Firmware R&D teams. - Improve the quality and robustness of firmware and hardware tests.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a recognized Canadian post-secondary Institution. - 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. - Strong object-oriented software design and implementation (any language). - Experience with Git, GitHub, Bash, PowerShell, ChatGPT, Copilot, C#, Python, Javascript, XML, gRPC, or Jira. - Experience in instrumentation and automation.
Nice to have
- Understanding of optical systems. - Experience with optical instruments and optical fibers.
