About the role
SanDisk’s Security Platform team is seeking an Embedded Product Security Architect to lead security architecture for the Flash business unit’s product portfolio across enterprise, client, retail, mobile, and automotive lines.
What you'll do
- Define the security architecture roadmap for Flash products, encompassing firmware, hardware, and secure manufacturing infrastructure. - Interface with ecosystem, product security assurance, and product teams to gather security requirements spanning customer, regulatory, compliance, risk, and industry standards. - Drive threat modeling and reference embedded security architectures across product lines to promote business-unit-wide adoption. - Architect interactions between system components and peripherals while contributing to verification and validation strategies for security features. - Lead internal security reviews of hardware and embedded software, guiding external evaluations and compliance initiatives. - Collaborate with hardware design, firmware development, and product security assurance teams to embed security requirements into design and development workflows.
What you'll need
- Master's or PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, preferably with a specialization in embedded security (hardware and/or software). - 10+ years of experience in embedded product security. - Expert understanding of practical modern cryptography. - Proficiency in security protocols, cryptography, authentication, attestation, authorization, secure boot, secure communication, digital signatures, certificates, and post-quantum cryptography. - Solid understanding of creating and validating threat models. - Proven experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to architects and development teams.
Nice to have
- Experience driving FIPS or Common Criteria certification. - Knowledge of data storage controllers' architectures.
