About the role
This role is for an embedded firmware engineer to support the certification of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) software for safety-critical avionics platforms.
What you'll do
- Perform DO-178C SOI-2 certification reviews.
- Author System, High-Level Requirements (HLR), and Low-Level Requirements (LLR) for Networking and TSN.
- Verify software architecture and detailed design compliance.
- Review bidirectional requirements traceability.
- Evaluate software coding standards compliance.
- Review derived requirements.
- Work with software, systems, FPGA, and certification teams.
What you'll need
- Experience with DO-178C lifecycle.
- Knowledge of TSN, including IEEE 802.1AS (gPTP/PTP), IEEE 802.1Qbv, IEEE 802.1Qav, VLAN, Traffic Classes, and Queue Scheduling.
- Proficiency in Embedded C and Linux.
- Experience with RTOS and Device Drivers.
- Understanding of Ethernet, VLAN, Layer-2 Switching, Socket Programming, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
