Cirrus Logic is looking for talented interns to work on industrial projects relevant to mixed-signal ICs.
About the role
This internship involves working on industrial projects relevant to an MEng or BEng degree within experienced engineering teams. You will contribute to the development of IPs for mixed-signal ICs.
What you'll do
- Develop IPs for mixed-signal ICs alongside experienced designers.
- Support pre-silicon verification using HDLs such as Verilog or VHDL.
- Create physical designs of mixed-signal IC circuits or develop new methodologies.
- Perform emissions and immunity testing using instruments such as VNAs and spectrum analyzers.
- Develop and execute validation test plans, design test boards, and write automation scripts to evaluate and debug silicon.
- Develop and debug test programs and analyze silicon performance.
What you'll need
- Enrollment in an MEng or BEng in Electronics and Electrical Engineering (or related) degree, on track for a 2:1 or better.
- Solid understanding of analog or digital integrated circuit design fundamentals.
- Strong background in HDLs such as Verilog or VHDL.
- Understanding of CMOS operational amplifier design.
- Strong lab and silicon validation skills.
- Understanding of semiconductor device physics and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
