About the role
This role involves hands-on diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronics at the PCB and board level to support KLA products throughout their lifecycle. It requires strong technical capability in PCBA failure analysis and the ability to work through circuit-level problems with limited design documentation.
What you'll do
- Perform hands-on diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronics at the PCB and board level.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot defective PCBAs using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and related lab equipment.
- Conduct PCBA design analysis (reverse engineering) to understand circuit intent and failure modes.
- Troubleshoot PCBA issues with limited or no design documentation.
- Perform board-level failure analysis on analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Support engineering change orders (ECOs) with technical justification and cross-functional coordination.
What you'll need
- Master's Level Degree and 3 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years; or equivalent work experience.
- Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design principles and hands-on PCBA troubleshooting.
- Proven experience driving root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and ECO execution.
- Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex board and sub-system level issues.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in electronics develop, sustaining engineering, or board-level sub-system support.
