About the role
This role involves supporting the new product development process, from technology feasibility evaluations through the release of new products into production. You will work with metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Build and test electrical and electromechanical assemblies for design validation and assembly procedure development.
- Generate and release the product Bill of Material (BOM) and assembly procedures.
- Drive the development of alignment/test tooling and packaging for qualified assemblies.
- Investigate and resolve issues with prototype designs through assembly, testing, and system integration in a cleanroom environment.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and field service teams to implement continuous improvement projects (CIPs) to achieve cycle time, cost, and yield targets.
- Create, review, and submit engineering change orders (ECOs) to release design and process changes.
What you'll need
- Doctorate Degree with 0 years, Master's Level Degree with 3 years, or Bachelor's Level Degree with 5 years of related work experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with optical-based semiconductor inspection/metrology equipment.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software, preferably ProE/CREO.
- In-depth understanding and hands-on build/test experience with electrical/electrical-mechanical sub-systems, PCAs, power supplies, cable assy/harnesses, and motors involved in the design and development of optical-based, semiconductor inspection equipment.
