About the role
Broadcom's GTO team is hiring an Electrical Hardware & AI Integration Engineer to bridge IT infrastructure and core Design Engineering business units through hardware design and power electronics expertise. You will implement AI tools to automate engineering workflows, circuit analysis, and hardware development lifecycles.
What you'll do
- Act as the primary technical liaison between GTO and design engineering teams to translate complex hardware requirements into scalable IT solutions.
- Perform Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and sensitivity analysis to evaluate performance margins for automotive and aerospace-grade hardware.
- Implement AI tools to automate engineering tasks, including electronic component modeling in PSpice and signal integrity data analysis.
- Support mixed-signal hardware development with schematic design, component selection, and multi-layer PCB layout using Altium Designer or Cadence.
- Conduct board bring-up and validation for high-speed digital systems using programmable PNAs and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
- Develop and tune embedded firmware in C/C++ and Python/MicroPython for closed-loop control systems and power regulation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with design tools including Cadence PSpice, Altium Designer, LTSpice, and KiCad.
- Programming proficiency in Python, C/C++, and Matlab.
- Solid understanding of Power/Signal Integrity, FMEA, and communication protocols such as SPI, UART, and CAN.
- Hands-on experience handling satellite communications, power converters, or high-speed digital systems.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, such as leading technical teams or professional organizations (IEEE or FSAE-Electric).
Nice to have
- Experience with Power Electronics (Buck, Boost, Flyback) and semiconductor device characterization.
- Familiarity with safety-critical systems like Brake System Plausibility Devices (BSPD).
- Ability to conduct formal design reviews and peer evaluations.
