About the role
This role is for a senior software engineer to join the Database, Infrastructure & Tooling (DBIT) Team, which defines and implements how FPGA devices are modeled within Quartus Prime. You will work on lightweight yet scalable data models to represent increasingly sophisticated FPGA architectures.
What you'll do
- Specify, implement, and maintain software data models to represent FPGA devices using C++ and Python.
- Develop high-performance APIs to streamline access to FPGA device databases for algorithms like synthesis, placement, routing, timing analysis, and power analysis.
- Develop tools to aid/enhance Altera’s FPGA device bring-up processes.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, or related fields with 6+ years of experience; OR Master’s Degree with 4+ years of experience; OR Ph.D. with 8+ years of experience.
- Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
