This role focuses on advanced electron beam (e-beam) systems for semiconductor applications.
About the role
This role leads the development, integration, and qualification of advanced electron beam (e-beam) systems for semiconductor applications. The position is central to the Broadband Plasma (BBP) division, which develops market-leading optical inspection systems for critical defect detection at advanced nodes.
What you'll do
- Lead the design, integration, validation, and qualification of advanced e-beam and SEM systems and subsystems.
- Define system requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies for new product development.
- Lead system-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate technical trade-offs and optimize system performance.
- Support product introduction, manufacturing transfer, and technology deployment activities.
What you'll need
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in semiconductor equipment, advanced instrumentation, or related high-technology product development.
- Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineering (SE) professional, leading multidisciplinary technical development efforts.
- Strong foundation in electronics, hardware/software integration, and system-level engineering.
- Experience with requirements development, system integration, verification, validation, and technical risk management.
Nice to have
- SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) or e-beam system design experience.
- Experience with mixed-signal electronics, FPGA-based designs, or embedded control systems.
- Experience using scripting and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar) for system characterization, test automation, diagnostics, and data acquisition.
