About the role
This role involves creating and modifying detailed drawings from sketches, layouts, or engineering notes, and contributing design modifications to improve manufacturing or product quality. This position supports the design and engineering of etch and deposition products.
What you'll do
- Create accurate 2D mechanical drawings from 3D CAD models using Siemens NX (UGNX).
- Update and revise drawings to incorporate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with internal processes.
- Ensure drawings meet ASME standards, GD&T requirements, and Etch Engineering drafting guidelines.
- Support mechanical design engineers by translating design intent into manufacturable drawings.
- Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and documentation integrity within PLM systems (Teamcenter/NX).
- Respond to engineering questions and support escalation and sustaining activities as needed.
What you'll need
- 6+ years of related experience.
- Experience as a Mechanical Drafter / Designer in an engineering environment.
- Hands-on experience creating drawings from mechanical models.
- Solid understanding of mechanical drafting principles, GD&T, and ASME drawing standards.
- Experience working with ECO processes and revision-controlled drawings.
Nice to have
- Strong UGNX (Siemens NX) experience.
- Willingness to learn Etch-specific standards, tools, and best practices.
