Join the team as a Semiconductor Equipment Technician Intern to maintain, repair, and optimize semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
About the role
As an Equipment Technician Intern, you will maintain, repair, and optimize complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment to ensure production performance.
What you'll do
- Perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, equipment improvements, equipment upgrades, and equipment installation.
- Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive downs.
- Monitor and analyze all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool-related issues.
- Interface and communicate with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently.
- Coordinate supplier service and repairs where needed.
- Prepare technical reports and summary findings, recommending solutions to technical problems.
What you'll need
- Current active-duty military status, eligible for the Department of War's SkillBridge program.
- High School diploma/GED.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work a 12-hour compressed work schedule.
- Flexibility to work day or night shifts, including one weekend shift and holidays.
- One of the following: Technical Certificate or Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years of hands-on technical maintenance work experience.
Nice to have
- Self-driven with ability to identify and resolve issues to improve equipment performance.
- Troubleshooting skills on electrical/mechanical systems.
- Organizational and teaming skills.
