The DGX Cloud security team is accountable for the security outcome of the platform, with a focus on hardware root of trust and GPU workload isolation.
About the role
This role involves setting the security design standard for NVIDIA's DGX Cloud, an AI factory leveraging hundreds of thousands of GPUs, and collaborating with engineering teams to implement it. The scope encompasses security from the hardware root of trust through GPU workload isolation, services, and APIs.
What you'll do
- Own and make concrete the security design standard across DGX Cloud for tenancy, GPU workloads, identity, supply chain, and isolation.
- Embed with engineering teams to design, learn code, and help ship security features.
- Drive the multi-year architecture for common security infrastructure including hardened baselines, patch SLOs, deploy-time policy, admission control, workload identity, and supply-chain provenance.
- Attack recurring risk at its architectural root, including offensively against designs, and feed findings back into baselines and detections.
- Lead and grow a small team of Principal Engineers, setting technical direction and hiring into gaps.
- Serve as DGX Cloud's primary technical connection into NVIDIA's central security organization and partner with other engineering teams.
What you'll need
- Experience (typically 20+ years) across software engineering, infrastructure, and security, with recent depth securing large-scale distributed or cloud platforms.
- Proven record owning the security architecture of a large platform end to end, across multi-tenant isolation, identity and access, policy enforcement, supply chain, and detection.
- Deep enough in the code to stay credible and hands-on, having written, shipped, and operated production services at scale.
- Ability to form a view early on emerging technology shifts impacting the platform, such as AI-generated code or AI-assisted security analysis.
- Depth to threat model a complex distributed system (substrate, orchestration layer, tenancy boundary) and distinguish architectural gaps from bugs.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture, container orchestration (Kubernetes), Linux systems security including kernel-level primitives, and security properties of high-throughput multi-tenant environments.
- Experience (typically 7+ years) leading and growing senior technical talent, including Principal Engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
