About the role

Qualcomm is seeking a Director of Product Management to own the definition, roadmap, and lifecycle of processors for Industrial and Edge AI markets.

What you'll do

  • Own processor definition, roadmap, positioning, business case, pricing inputs, and product lifecycle management.
  • Develop MRDs and PRDs that translate customer workloads into measurable silicon, package, board, software, reliability, longevity, and platform requirements.
  • Lead architecture and platform trade-offs across performance, power, cost, die size, memory, I/O, connectivity, packaging, thermal design, and software scope.
  • Define requirements across CPU, GPU, NPU, DSP, real-time compute, vision, memory hierarchy, security, virtualization, and high-speed I/O.
  • Drive requirements for motor and motion-control workloads, mixed-criticality systems (Linux or Windows with RTOS), and industrial networking protocols such as TSN, EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, Modbus, CAN/CAN-FD, and IO-Link.
  • Collaborate with software and engineering leads to translate Edge AI, machine vision, and industrial automation workloads into compute, benchmark, and tooling specifications.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of product management or related work experience (advanced degrees in a relevant field may substitute for up to two years of experience).

Nice to have

  • 15 years of relevant experience in semiconductor product management, SoC architecture, embedded processors, or industrial systems.
  • Demonstrated ownership of chipset products from definition through launch, production ramp, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong knowledge of heterogeneous compute, real-time processing, low-latency industrial systems, motor control, and industrial connectivity.
  • Experience leading decisions across architecture, silicon, hardware, software, package, validation, operations, sales, and business teams.
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
