Lead technical delivery of domain-specific deployments using NVIDIA Nemotron and NVIDIA Cosmos open models.

About the role

NVIDIA is hiring a founding Director to build and lead the Forward Deployed Engineering organization for open models across North America. The technical focus centers on turning open models, including NVIDIA Nemotron and NVIDIA Cosmos, into domain-specific, production-ready AI through the partner ecosystem.

What you'll do

- Set the regional strategy and build the Forward Deployed Engineering organization, hiring and developing leads, managers, and senior engineers. - Establish the technical direction for post-training, evaluation, agent harness engineering, and inference optimization across customer engagements. - Lead three-way technical engagements among NVIDIA, partners, and end customers to deliver domain-specific AI into production. - Build reusable recipes, reference pipelines, and playbooks that enable partner engineering teams to scale deployments independently. - Collaborate with Product, Research, and Engineering to channel field requirements directly back into Nemotron, Cosmos, and software stacks.

What you'll need

- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 14+ years in ML or software engineering, applied AI, FDE, or solutions architecture, including 8+ years leading technical teams and 5+ years of hands-on LLM post-training with models taken to production. - Proven experience building and scaling technical teams across locations and time zones, including managing managers or leads. - Technical expertise in post-training (LoRA/PEFT, SFT, and synchronous and asynchronous reinforcement learning), model architectures, synthetic data, evaluation, agent harness engineering, and multi-GPU/multi-node distributed training and inference optimization. - Experience scoping technical engagements, shaping SOWs, and delivering across simultaneous partner and customer deployments. - Ability to travel to partner, customer, and NVIDIA sites up to 25%.
