About the role
As Director, Electro-Optical Validation, you will ensure sub-assemblies and blades are validated according to plan.
What you'll do
- Own the development of comprehensive characterization, verification, and validation plans for electro-optical multiplexer and electro-optical switch.
- Manage the validation team, including technical oversight, project management, talent management, performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Supervise measurements, deliver validation reports, and drive Failure Analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Review electro-optical hardware design, identify key parameters to measure, and influence design to ensure testability.
- Lead technical discussions to review data and results, summarize outcomes, and make decisions on next steps.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of industry experience relevant to validating and testing optical systems.
- 5+ years of team and people management experience.
- Proven record of leading validation and failure analysis of high-speed electro-optical hardware products, such as high-speed optical transceivers.
- Direct experience validating Silicon Photonics assemblies, advanced optical modules, or multi-chip co-packaged systems.
- Expertise with high-speed electro-optical devices and test equipment, such as electro-optical modulator, RF detector, pulsed lasers, optical real-time oscilloscope.
- Expertise with high-speed and optical equipment including Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Digital Communication Analyzers (DCAs), Optical Spectrum Analyzers (OSAs), and Bit Error Rate Testers (BERTs).
- Expertise with debugging of RF electronics, electro-optical driving architectures, embedded firmware, and real-time logic.
