About the role
As a Digital Solutions Engineer within the Global Spares and Services organization, you will enable Field Service teams with data, knowledge, and digital tools to reduce equipment installation and maintenance cycle times. The position operates at the intersection of data engineering, application development, and operational enablement.
What you'll do
- Develop internal digital applications and tools that streamline and digitize installation, maintenance, and service workflows. - Structure and model data for reporting, dashboards, analytics, and operational decision-making. - Build and manage data pipelines integrating data from enterprise systems, vendor sources, and operational environments. - Consolidate and deliver knowledge from multiple sources into tools and applications for field teams. - Enhance the user experience and usability of tools used by field engineers. - Partner with IT, Engineering, Service, and Product teams to ensure integration, deployment, and ongoing solution support.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 3+ years of professional industry experience. - Strong programming skills in Python. - Experience in data integration and building internal tools, applications, or automation solutions. - Experience with mobile / handheld devices and web application development. - Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).
Nice to have
- Experience with modern C++. - Experience building engineering tools, diagnostic interfaces, or HMIs (e.g., Python frameworks, LabVIEW). - Familiarity with knowledge management systems or search platforms. - Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI-enabled applications.
