What you'll do
- Perform RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, verification, and debugging of communication chips at both circuit and behavioral levels.
- Define and test new modulation and demodulation algorithms for formats like BPSK, FSK, QAM, and OFDM.
- Develop algorithms using low-level embedded assembler-programmed CPUs.
- Participate in the development of new low-power architectures for future products.
- Communicate with analog and digital design engineers to solve problems and present information.
- Actively participate in work groups, providing ideas and collaborative teamwork.
What you'll need
- MSc Degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience; exceptional newly graduated candidates considered.
- Good knowledge of communication theory and digital signal processing.
- Understanding of digital logic design.
- Familiarity with Verilog and VHDL language and simulators.
- Strong programming skills: Matlab, C, Python, and Assembler.
- Understanding of analog and RF electronics and exposure to analog IC design methods.
- Excellent communication skills in English.

How we counted: 964 open Digital/RTL Design (RTL Design) roles from 101 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 28 Sept 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Digital Design & Verification family row.
