About the role

As a 3D / PCG Artist supporting the Simulation team, you will create simulation-ready assets and procedural environments used to test and train UR cobots and MiR mobile robots. You will build asset libraries and virtual environments using modelling, texturing, and procedural tools in coordination with simulation, dataset, and QA teams.

What you'll do

  • Create real-world-scale 3D assets such as industrial parts, tools, bins, packaging, pallets, shelving, furniture, and factory and warehouse props with clean topology, UVs, and levels of detail.
  • Author physically based (PBR) materials and textures that render realistically under varied lighting conditions.
  • Build procedural environments and asset variation systems for warehouses, factory floors, labs, and cluttered workspaces using PCG tools.
  • Prepare simulation-ready assets with collision meshes, correct pivots and scale, mass and physics properties, and semantic labels.
  • Export and convert assets to required formats including OpenUSD, FBX, glTF, and OBJ following agreed naming and structure standards.
  • Recreate customer environments from references, photos, or CAD data.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of professional experience in 3D modelling for games, VFX, product visualisation, or simulation.
  • Proficiency in Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
  • Hands-on experience with procedural tools such as Houdini, Unreal Engine PCG, or Blender Geometry Nodes.
  • PBR texturing skills using Substance Painter, Substance Designer, or equivalent tools.
  • Understanding of real-world scale, hard-surface modelling, and asset optimisation including polycount and LODs.
  • Proficiency in at least three of the following: OpenUSD and NVIDIA Omniverse or Isaac Sim; robotics, digital twins, or industrial visualisation assets; collision meshes and physics properties; photogrammetry or 3D scanning workflows; Python scripting in DCC tools; Unreal Engine or Unity environment building; CAD data and CAD-to-mesh conversion; or lighting and look development.
