About the role
This role involves grinding and polishing diamond optical substrates to specified tolerances, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring manufacturing quality. You will operate grinding/lapping machines, multi-head diamond polishing machines, and interferometer surface figure equipment.
What you'll do
- Maintain the production plan to optimize schedules, deliveries, and yields.
- Perform daily equipment maintenance, including checking operation temperature and water flows.
- Provide problem-solving and technical support for daily production issues.
- Ensure adherence to departmental and company health and safety policies.
- Train new employees according to the outlined plan.
- Coordinate with the supervisor to maintain on-time delivery.
What you'll need
- High school diploma.
- More than 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Hands-on mindset and approach.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented.
Nice to have
- ISO experience.
