About the role
This role involves the design and development of power supply products, including electrical design, component selection, simulation/test, and PCB layout.
What you'll do
- Build circuits on breadboards to test new electrical circuitries.
- Perform electrical evaluation of products and failure analysis.
- Collect and prepare data from experiments, electrical testing, and analytical evaluations.
- Process prototype kits for verification testing and design approval.
- Support sustaining engineering activities for existing product lines and customer interface.
- Develop product planning schedules, test and qualification plans, and objective specifications.
- Provide full product documentation, including bill of materials, test specifications, and assembly and PC board drawings.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in switch mode power supply design.
- Extensive knowledge of high frequency switching power supply topologies and control architectures.
- Specific power conversion design skills including high frequency magnetic design, power conversion circuit design and analysis, circuit simulation, layout considerations, feedback control theory, and EMC compliance.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, Pspice, OrCAD, Mathcad, MATLAB, Excel).
Nice to have
- MSEE.
- Experience and working knowledge of firmware.
