About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a Data Center Power Test Architect to lead test strategy and quality across datacenter software and firmware stacks for AI, HPC, and cloud-scale systems. The role focuses on test architecture, lab automation, and power validation from pre-silicon simulation to post-silicon deployment across NVIDIA platforms.

What you'll do

  • Own and drive end-to-end test architecture and validation strategy for power features across platforms, from pre-silicon simulation and emulation to post-silicon bring-up and production readiness.
  • Architect and implement scalable, modular test frameworks and automation harnesses supporting functional, integration, stress, regression, power, security, and performance testing across hundreds of systems.
  • Define data center power quality metrics and KPIs, including code coverage, system uptime, bug escape rate, and validation completeness.
  • Lead complex root-cause investigations spanning firmware, software, and hardware layers while developing debug methodologies and diagnosis tools.
  • Partner with DevOps and infrastructure teams to integrate lab automation and continuous testing pipelines across nightly and pre-merge CI/CD workflows.
  • Validate real-world customer configurations, production scenarios, and firmware release qualification criteria for deployment.

What you'll need

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in data center power enablement related to software/firmware testing, focusing on telemetry and power efficiency across systems.
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture, power shelf, baseboard management, hardware and software power features, industry power standards, system interfaces, and embedded controllers.
  • Proven experience designing test frameworks and infrastructure in Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
  • Expertise with platform standards for security, telemetry, and manageability (NIST, DMTF, OCP), alongside hands-on server platform, network, storage, and cluster configuration and debugging.
  • Experience with platform telemetry, datacenter node lifecycle management including CPU/GPU workloads, Kubernetes, Envoy, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins following GitOps models.
  • Experience with lab automation, simulation, hardware-in-the-loop (HW-in-the-loop) testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

  • Experience with NVIDIA platforms such as DGX, HGX, and Grace Hopper systems.
  • Exposure to security validation, compliance (e.g., FIPS, BMC security), or thermal/power validation.
  • Prior experience as a test architect or technical lead for large-scale datacenter enablement or firmware validation programs.
  • Contributions to open-source testing tools or frameworks with knowledge of cloud-scale validation, infrastructure automation, or virtualization.
  • Experience using AI tools to create agents, design test plans, identify test gaps, automate workflows, and conduct failure analysis.
