About the role
This Equipment Engineer is responsible for chemical vapor deposition (CVD) tools in a high-volume manufacturing facility within Front End Operations.
What you'll do
- Identify and reduce sources of variation, machine faults, and defectivity across CVD tools. - Define and write tool maintenance procedures to improve availability, increase Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). - Specify, source, and qualify new equipment and replacement parts while supporting technology development and transfer activities. - Train technicians and engineering peers on tool troubleshooting and maintenance procedures. - Participate in and lead cross-functional teams alongside Maintenance, Manufacturing, Facilities, Analytical Lab, and Device Engineering. - Generate, analyze, and interpret equipment and process performance data to implement action plans and Best Known Methods (BKM) for recurring failures.
What you'll need
- BS or MS in an engineering or science discipline. - Competency in troubleshooting, isolating, and repairing equipment issues. - Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret equipment and process performance data. - Willingness to adjust work schedule as needed to support 24x7 factory priorities across multiple tool platforms.
Nice to have
- 6+ years of experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. - Previous experience with Applied Materials Centura DXZ, Producer, or P5000; Novellus Concept 2; or WJ-999 tools. - Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing methods. - Knowledge of FMEA and 8D methodologies.
