About the role
As a Customer Support Engineer (Field Service), you will be primarily responsible for customer service activities associated with updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing highly complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows.
What you'll do
- Provide customer service support for advanced KLA products and be the primary point of contact for service-related issues.
- Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems at customer sites.
- Maintain Preventive Maintenance schedules on KLA tools at customer sites and execute all PMs.
- Repair and update equipment at customer sites, including system-level problems.
- Prepare Field Service Reports on customer support activity using the CRM database.
- Conduct customer orientation and technical training on equipment maintenance support for user applications.
What you'll need
- Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot problems in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems.
- Understanding of computer theory, various operating systems, applicable operating system software knowledge, and networking in a Windows, Unix, or Novell environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines.
- Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs, walk, stand for long periods, and work in a cleanroom environment wearing full PPE.
