About the role
This role requires hands-on evaluation, diagnosis, and repair of complex electro-mechanical capital equipment for the FaST product line.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems via telephone or on-site at customer facilities.
- Execute repairs for system-level equipment problems that have multiple causes and lack standard procedures.
- Coordinate actions with customers to minimize tool downtime and maintain operational quality.
- Assist Installation Engineers with resolving technical integration issues.
- Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and document recurring problems for supporting functions.
- Manage return materials authorization (RMA) workflows for customer returns, exchanges, service, and repairs.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's degree with 0 years of related work experience.
- Hands-on skills in troubleshooting and repair of complex electro-mechanical capital equipment.
- Experience generating field service reports and problem statements for system engineering teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% following classroom and on-the-job training.
