About the role
As a CST Application Engineer, you will provide design services, technical sales support, and front-line customer support in chip-to-board-to-system design. This entry-level position supports sales with Cadence's PCB, packaging, and system analysis tools like Allegro PCB Design and Sigrity.
What you'll do
- Work with PCB, packaging, and system analysis tools.
- Provide design services to customers.
- Offer technical sales support.
- Deliver front-line customer support.
- Solve challenging PCB, packaging, and signal/power integrity problems for customers.
- Learn PCB design fundamentals, high-speed design, and power integrity.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related STEM field.
- Coursework or project experience in circuits, signals, or digital hardware (e.g., capstone, club project, board bring-up).
- Experience with UNIX and scripting languages such as Python and SKILL.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to work with customers.
Nice to have
- Experience with any PCB or CAD tool (Altium, KiCad, Eagle or similar).
