About the role
This role involves contributing as a technical expert to the verification of high-performance CPUs and cache technologies within AMD's Cores Organization.
What you'll do
- Develop processes, methodologies, and tools for verifying high-speed microprocessor designs, including randomized test stimulus and infrastructure.
- Lead and/or contribute to the development of verification stimulus for specific architectural and microarchitectural features.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable code and collaborate with the RTL design team to define and optimize verification strategies for CPU cores.
- Measure and analyze verification coverage, identify gaps, and implement improvements to meet design and project quality objectives.
What you'll need
- BS/MS in CS, CSE, EE, a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Understanding of modern computer architecture.
- Knowledge of verification techniques for microprocessors, ASIC designs, or similar digital designs.
Nice to have
- Experience with one or more relevant programming languages, such as Ruby, C/C++, or x86 assembly.
- Knowledge of x86 architecture.
