About the role
This role is for an experienced CPLD/FPGA Firmware Engineer to join the ML Acceleration Server Firmware team, responsible for developing firmware to enable power sequencing and control systems for ML Acceleration servers in the data center.
What you'll do
- Develop CPLD and FPGA programs that implement power sequencing and manage various protocols, including PWM, I2C, and SPI
- Develop systems software and drivers
- Define test and automation flows to validate firmware
- Evaluate and optimize firmware performance
- Build error detection and recovery mitigation systems at AWS scale
What you'll need
- Experience with computer architecture
- Experience with hardware description languages (HDLs)
- Experience with embedded systems
- Experience with Verilog
- Experience with C and C++
- Experience with Lua, bash, or Python
