This Controls Engineering Co-Op role involves developing and improving equipment programming, troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, and supporting manufacturing operations.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
- Support the modification, testing, and optimization of machine control programs.
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to support daily production operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of equipment upgrades, process improvements, and automation solutions.
- Analyze equipment performance and identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
- Create, update, and maintain machine, process, and system documentation.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as C++, Python, HTML, Java, PLC programming.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new software, automation platforms, and manufacturing technologies quickly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimization.
