About the role

This role involves defining and delivering Snapdragon Vision API based features to enable breakthrough computer vision experiences on hardware.

What you'll do

  • Lead the design and implementation of computer vision features and on-device prototyping using the Snapdragon Vision API solution.
  • Support engineering teams in building, integrating, and deploying CV APIs for commercial products.
  • Develop technical documentation, diagrams, and sample materials for the Snapdragon Vision API.
  • Ensure deliverables meet schedule expectations and KPI targets, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
  • Collaborate with system, software, hardware, and product teams throughout CV feature prototyping and commercialization.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience (or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years).
  • Strong understanding of CV concepts, algorithms, and deep-learning-based vision pipelines, with a track record of delivering commercial CV solutions.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing computer vision applications or libraries.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing products using vision APIs, following established standards and best practices.
  • Strong coding and debugging skills in C/C++ and Python, with the ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate CV features on device.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with CV and ML libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch (TorchVision), including image processing and deep learning workflows.
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems and architectures, especially hardware CV accelerators.
  • Experience producing high-quality API documentation and technical materials.
  • Familiarity with commercial software development practices and SDLC methodologies.
