About the role
Qualcomm is seeking a Computer Vision Software Engineer to develop optimized visual analytics solutions across business units including Mobile, XR, IOT, Compute, and Auto. Activities span early R&D prototyping to commercial deployment on Qualcomm SoCs and embedded platforms.
What you'll do
- Design and implement vision and image processing API/pipelines on Qualcomm SoCs and platforms. - Serve as feature owner for software design, implementation, and commercialization, integrating and validating software within larger systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional software, firmware, and hardware teams and domain experts to define specifications. - Engage with internal technology areas (Camera, Video, XR), OEMs, Tier-1s, and ISVs to deploy solutions based on Qualcomm Computer Vision offerings. - Support all phases of software development, including bring-up, design, deployment, and customer support.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - Machine learning, image processing, and computer vision knowledge or API/SDK development experience. - Operating system knowledge and computer architecture project experience. - Hands-on software design and development experience on complex embedded computing platforms. - Programming experience in C, C++, Python, and STL, with hands-on experience debugging embedded software and using version-based tools.
Nice to have
- Experience in embedded system software development including kernels, device drivers, and board-support packages. - Previous projects available via GitHub link.
